Client List for W H Kirkwood Ltd

We have proven ourselves to be highly capable in many areas, however three particular fields of expertise and experience are:

NHS
Much of the work is alterations, converting and upgrading existing facilities or changing their function entirely. Mostly this work is carried out within occupied areas accommodating existing staff, the patients and the public.

Due to Government financing and more particularly due to the timing of this financing it is not unusual for the work to be carried out in an incredibly short time scale.

Factory and Office Work
WHK have a particular understanding based on significant experience of working in this environment. The company has also worked in the construction of new build facilities on a work package basis on green field sites, often on a fast track basis as opposed to a normal contracting basis.

Due to the rapidly changing nature of this computer environment alteration work forms a significant part of the company's operations often carrying out projects on plant shut downs to very tight time schedules.

Historic Buildings
Another aspect of our workload relates to restoration of and structural rehabilitation of historic buildings, listed buildings and others of equal importance. This comprises the incorporation of structural steel, permanent bracing and restraints to provide permanent repair to derelict or possibly neglected buildings as well as replacement of rotten timbers.

WHK have also prepared design proposals for the temporary propping work as we feel that a full service should be provided in respect of this type of construction.
